Vice President of Marketing

As VP of marketing, Alan is responsible for Gradient AI's marketing strategy, with a focus on brand visibility, demand generation, and the buyer’s journey. He has over 25 years of experience helping organizations deliver innovative solutions to address complex market needs.


Prior to Gradient, Alan served as vice president of marketing at Hebrew College, where he led strategic initiatives that significantly enhanced enrollment and philanthropy, driving increased market share and revenue growth. He was previously vice president of marketing at IntelliVid, a provider of intelligent video analytics for loss prevention, prior to its acquisition by Tyco International. Additionally, Sherman served in senior marketing roles at several high-growth companies including OATSystems, an MIT spinout that pioneered IoT solutions for retail and manufacturing applications, prior to and following its acquisition by Checkpoint Systems during his tenure. His experience spans multiple technology-based solutions including electronic displays, speech recognition, disparate data integration, video analytics, and RFID-based asset tracking.


Alan earned his Bachelor of Arts with honors from the University of Rochester, and his Master of Business Administration from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
