PRESENTATION

Innovators: The Fall of AI to Data

Speaker

PRESENTER:

Kim Wiswell, Director, Client Services, Embedded Analytics, Gradient AI, and Michael Petrie, Founder of Webutation, Inc.

Thursday, November 9, 3:00 PM

Artificial intelligence is designed to assist with decision-making when the variables involved are beyond human comprehension. Machine learning models learn from training data, but it is only as good as the quality of that data. In workers' compensation we speak over 48 languages, which is sometimes multiple depending on which Judge, venue, or doctor is on your case. A causation claim in California is not the same as in Arizona or Alabama, so how do we gain the benefits of AI? This session discusses this problem and the possible solutions; one of which was highly recommended by ChatGPT.

Attendees will learn:

  • The role of AI in workers’ compensation insurance
  • The need for data to drive AI
  • Is our data ready for AI, and what do we need in order to benefit from the latest in the machine learning wave?
