Brett is a credentialed actuary and recognized leader in the health insurance industry. His practical actuarial and underwriting expertise are the foundation of his efforts to grow Gradient’s thriving health & life insurance products.

Prior to joining Gradient, Brett was the Chief Actuary for a boutique consulting firm that focused on group association plans and Professional Employer Organizations. Over his career, he has led several technology initiatives aimed at taking the manual work out of underwriting and actuarial work, freeing up insurance professionals to operate at the top of their credentials.

Outside of Gradient AI, you can find Brett speaking at conferences on subjects ranging from productivity and leadership to actuarial transformation, and the impact of AI on the insurance industry. He also volunteers with other influential industry leaders for the Society of Actuaries on the Professional Development Leadership Network, and the Predictive Analytic Impacts on Actuarial Transformations Project Oversight Group.

Brett has a bachelor’s degree from Washington State University in Management Information Systems.
